N.O.W.
stands for Network of WomenMessage from our co-founder
After seeing the ecstatic reaction of runner-up Miss Nigeria when it was announced that the 2019 Miss Universe was Miss Jamaica, I was inspired to create SestraNow. Her response has left an indelible mark on me. It takes a special type of person to celebrate the achievements of someone else especially when she is your competition. That is the type of individual that we seek to join our network. Women have sometimes been labeled as catty, distrustful, and weak. There are a lot of us that need support whether it be emotional, physical, financial, etc. There are also many who have been blessed with access to resources that others have not. But no matter the case, everyone has something that she can bring to the table. Together, we can accomplish exponentially more than we ever could individually. By pooling our gifts, talents, and special abilities, we will create a solid, powerful, and effective structure that is based on cooperation rather than competition, service rather selfishness, grace rather than greed and sisterhood rather than solitude. SestraNow is the vehicle we use to celebrate, promote, and support women all over the world, assisting them to accomplish their dreams.
SestraNow Foundation (501c3) was formed for charitable and educational purposes; It is the service leg of SestraNow, LLC which is a multi-ethnic and multicultural international organization for and by women. It motivates members to prosper personally and collectively, to reach their full potential, in an atmosphere in which all are elevated in the process. We currently promote financial independence, and provide professional, personal, and physical support for our world-wide sisterhood through workshops, programs, challenges, via groups and one on one initiatives, all carried out on a volunteer basis by our members. Another priority is encouraging that our members patronize each other, seeking services and products from within our network before looking elsewhere.
